Additional point fields?

Two related questions:

1)  Is it possible to import additional point fields beyond PNEZD?  If so, how?  Can anyone point me to some docs / links / tutorials?  (This old thread seemed to die prematurely:  https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/civil-3d-forum/importing-points-and-format-creation/m-p/2303615)

2) One of the parameters I am able to output from my data collector is Point Quality.  I can output both 2D and 3D quality.  If I can import that quality via 1) above... can I use that column of data to sort points / create Point Groups?  For example, I would like to create a Road Centerline Point Group where the points all have a 3D quality < 1.0 ft.

Todd. Thanks for that lesson. I have a question. Since I could not see the csv file in its entirety where did the attribute for barbed wire "HEIGHT" work it's way in?

Example:  Roughly minute 3:00 in your video. Your point number 185. I see the PNEZD then BARB WIRE, 4, 4,,,, You parse the file after that. The resulting list shows ATT1=BARB WIRE then ATT2=4, ATT3=4......Where do you place the HEIGHT attribute? Is it in this point csv file as part of the description? I did not see you add it to the Label Style Composer. I assume all these attributes are in the csv file they just do not all show up in the Point File Format list.

You are correct. These are simply just added descriptions. The attributes mean that it's an additional description in the csv file. This was from some kind of pipeline surveyor that wanted to see ALL of the descriptions.

I wonder why the Point File Format dialog list does not show HEIGHT in the attribute list? I may just be assuming that point number 185 has a HEIGHT attribute as I never saw number 185 it in the model space of your drawing (end) of your video. Actually also noticed that your point number list starts off at 1 jumps to 170 then your drawing shows them at 147,3XX. So I guess the point file numbers are all over the place

You can name it Height, it doesn't have to be ATT1, ATT2, etc. That was just an easy way for me to name those columns.
