Adding flows to Hydraflow system without using overland flow

I am trying to add roof drain connections to my storm system but can't find a way without Hydraflow treating it as overland flow. I thought adding a known Q to a manhole would work, but it simply bypasses the structure and adds it to the downstream as overland. Even if I add a line to represent the roof drains, it still calculates it as overland and I have to add a junction which gives me gutter spread, etc...  Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi pgreen, can you expand on what you are seeing and what you expect to see? "Overland flow" would mean it's coming in through the inlet... but if you're adding it to a manhole there is no inlet... and no gutter properties.

Thanks!

I am trying to model flow from a downspout directly into the structure. It seems that if I use the "known q" option it still applies it as overland. If I model a manhole with a known q, it applies the flow to the next downstream structure as overland. Can I model a flow into a structure without it being considered overland? I want to represent the flow in the pipe, but I am not concerned with gutter spread since the flow is piped in. It seems my only option is to model the downspout as a structure and get the flow into the system that way.
