Adding curb to a surface model

I have attached a screenshot of a surface I am working on. In the picture, the black line represents the location of a curb (0.5 feet higher than the elevation at that point) and then a red line that represents a retaining wall which will have a constant elevation of 9.66' all throughout. I was able to put fake in spot shots for the curb but is simply an expression of my proposed spot shot + 0.5. I'm having trouble actually showing these on my model. I have tried using polylines with elevations and I attempted to use a feature line but I dont seem to be getting what I want. Can someone guide me in the right direction for this?

You're in the ballpark, for sure.

Make a feature line, assigning its elevations from the surface. Use Stepped Offset to make an offset of that feature line some distance horizontally and some distance vertically.

The retaining wall should have feature lines at top front of wall, top back of wall and at bottom front of wall.

I was able to do as you said, but now how do I incorporate these feature lines into the surface model?

Select the Feature Lines, then, on the Ribbon, select Add to Surface as Breakline.

You don't really want to add to the OG, do you? Make a new surface, then paste OG into that, then, to the same surface, add the feature lines as breaklines. This will keep you from changing the OG.

Select the feature lines and choose "Add to Surface as Breakline" from the right click menu.   If you have arcs in the feature lines be sure to add a mid-ordinate distance value. (maybe half the curb width)  The breaklines will be in short segments as they round a curve.

I was able to use the feature lines I made as break lines. However the direction of water between my 9 foot contour and the curb seems to be off. I have attached a picture. The black arrow shows the direction of water after adding the feature lines. I wanted to water to drain to the bottom of the curb (gutter) but it seems to be going towards my 9 foot contour.

Logic would dictate that you should then lower the elevations on your new kerb feature line, so that it is lower than 9'.

Make sure that your other created feature lines are shifted/elevated relative to these changes.
