Adding Codes to Subassemblies Built from Generic Subassemblies

Hello,

When I convert a polyline into a subassembly, I can add point/link/shape codes manually using the ribbon.

Is there any way to do this with a subassembly I made from a generic subassembly (specifically, LinkMulti)?

Thanks,

Camden

P.S. this is the video where i learned about adding codes to subassemblies made from polylines, and i found it very helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJq5fctBiOo

You are some what limited by this SA and the ability to assign specific point codes, but Shape, and Link codes can be user defined when you select the SA and go to Properties. The Point Codes are numbered and are not customizable but at least they are numbered 🙂 Points are numbered sequentially from the beginning of the first link from 1 up to 13. Links are numbered sequentially from 1 up to 12.

If you like SA by polyline, I think you're ready for Subassembly Composer.

far more flexibility with coding 🙂 So if you want to evolve from static polyline SAs and need it  parametric and/or asses various conditions down the alignment, SAC is worth learning.

Good luck.
