Adding a curve to an existing alignment entity issue

So I am trying to add a curve to an existing alignment. Unfortunately when I click to add it in, my grips disappear and then it states the message below. Restarted CAD, in the source drawing, anyone know what's up?

figured it out. tried again and it was saying the entity already had an attachment. Just had to add an additional PI.
