I want to add a feature line to surface. When I select and right click a feature line, there is no "add feature line to surface" option??

You could try it this way:

  1. Go to Toolspace
  2. Expand the Surfaces section
  3. Expand the surface that you want to put the feature line on
  4. Expand the Definitions section
  5. And Right Click the Breaklines option
  6. You will then have a dialogue box to set some settings for the breakline
  7. You can then select the feature line and add it as a breakline.

See if that will work for you!

Feature lines are added under "breaklines" onto a surface...

A lisp file or other customization file could have done it. No way to know unless you catch it in the act.

If you are on 2016 or later, you can use the SysVarMonitor to watch it.

Another option is to use a reactor to watch for it and switch it back immediately, like this: http://cadpanacea.com/wp/?p=971

One more scenerio to add to R.K.'s comments.

If a command temporarily overrides any system varable and you crash mid command, the variable may not be reset to where it was.
