3D Polyline not given option for width

I extracted the border of my surface to create grading limits. My issue is that when I click on the now 3D polyline and select Pedit, autocad doesn't give me the option to give it a width. Capture.PNG4-21.PNG

3dPoly's cannot contain arcs, cannot display width or linetypes.  It's functionality has gone untouched since introduced (almost 30 years ago).  Try using FeatureLines instead and be glad you have them (basic CAD doesn't).

Terry is correct, no PLINEWID. But you can use LWEIGHT. And for the lack of linetype support, I guess Terry forgot to point out an improvement specifically for Civil 3D.

You can't show linetypes for 3D POLY objects in normal AutoCAD or other verticals, but in Civil 3D 2016 and newer, there is an option to enable linetype visibility for 3DPOLY objects as well.

Command: LINETYPE3DPLINEON

Since you just need to show the grading boundaries, you probably don't need any of the 3D functionalities.

I would just convert them in 2d polylines and then have the flexibility of the 2d in terms of width, linetypes, etc.
