2025 Civil 3D Export Crashes

We have always used the EXPORTC3DDRAWING Command (Both the Ribbon and at the Command Line) to export all our Civil 3D drawings into a simple AutoCAD file. This has worked since version 2018 perfectly, until today. All our seats of Civil 3D are up to date. When we updated the Sign in Licensing Updates this morning, we can no longer export our C3D DWGs to AutoCAD 2018 format as usual. The export progresses to what appears to be an intermediate stage where three new DWG files are created, and all begin with TBD then [the original file name].dwg. When we go back to 2023 or 2024 versions of C3D the export works as usual. Anyone else having this issue with 2025?

I typically use the EXPORTTOAUTOCAD command as opposed to EXPORTC3DDRAWING to do my exporting, I didnt notice any differences when running on 2025, but unfortunately, I've moved on to 2026.  However, I did test the command in 2026, and with my prefix set to ACAD- watching what is created, there should have been 2 drawings created, it starts off creating several files that have TBD at the beginning, with the drawing name and some random characters, but when it finishes, I had 2 drawing name ACAD-DRAWINGNAME-Model.dwg and ACAD-DRAWINGNAME-Layout1.dwg, as expected.    This leads me to believe that it must not be completing the task and crashing before the files get renamed.  Now I also must admit, the TBD files stayed longer than they probably should have, but I was saving in a OneDrive folder, so it had to go through its whole process of creating, syncing, deleting and it probably took longer than it should.

when I run EXPORTTOAUTOCAD, it creates the file as expected as well. but seems to be faster, and results in a file that is about 1 mb smaller than the EXPORTC3DDRAWING command created. (and only one file, not one for model, one for layout)

Hi Chris, we have always used the C3D export. I will try the plain auto export command and see if this works any differently than the C3D. I suspect there will be little difference. Our IT folks were fiddling with the server today and I think perhaps that may have affected my export. The rest of our CAD users noticed some issues trying to save and slow responsiveness throughout the day. Seems I was the only one exporting. By this evening and a complete restart of our server things seem to be working again properly. Not to mention a bit of a terse email to IT and the folks who scheduled this at the height of the workday. You can fill in the rest of the email in on your free time. lol.

Thanks for your help!
