I don't think is possible due to the agreement not to share content from the futures portal albeit this is the final version of UKIE kit - I believe there are still some issues

The silence from Autodesk on this is a joke.
I'd agree with that - getting on for 4 months since 2018 was released and still no officially released UKIE kit.
I'm always amazed at how things that worked in the previous release get broken in the next release - the 2018 main product release date surely couldn't have come as a surprise.

agreed - even an update would help.
It amazes me that we now have the microdrainage utility but no UKIE pack, normally its always the microdrainage that holds up using the software.
Firstly ask yourself what you need in the kit to get by for now.
Kerbs and assemblies were created in Subassembly composer so will be portable.
The reports should also move over although you need to manually set them up.
The template can be used in all newer versions.
The other tools / functions will work but again you need to bring them in.
Is there anything else?
For those who have a prior version installed you can manually port these tools.
For anyone else you could try downloading the 2017 version extracting the installation & cabinet files and porting the tools from there.

Autodesk? Anyone at Autodesk? Bueller? Bueller?
We literally can't upgrade till the UKIE is released and have no idea when it will be.
It was released last thursday...
You'll find it under: my account > product enhancements & updates > country kits
Its no longer on the usual country kit page, you need to sign in and go to;
Be aware that there are still some issues with kerbs and the Layers have been (almost) updated to Uniclass 2015 thus any styles you drag in from previous drawings will have the original layers associated with them.
The Uniclass layers need to have underscores to separate the code pairs to be compliant however this depends on whether you use Uniclass or not (but everyone should be using it now.... )
I would guess that there will be an update to the template and kit at some undetermined point in the future so be careful how much (if any) work you do on customising the template for your own use.

"Be aware that there are still some issues with kerbs"...
Some UK assemblies don't work on everyones installation. These can be fixed really easily. I blogged about it here: http://www.graitec.co.uk/blog/entry/how-to-fix-an-issue-with
Great blog post some really useful information on there.
Its not really about how easy it is to fix things its more annoying that the same problems seem to be present year after year without being fixed.
If you look back at post 26 I highlighted 5 different issues with the 2017 country kit. Literally none have been fixed in the 2018 country kit and some of those were present in the 2016 kit as well.
Hello Dave,
Do we have a release date for the Windes Link yet?
regards,
Roy.
Hello Dave,
Do we have a release date for the Windes Linkk yet?
Regards,
Ryo
It was released 6 weeks ago, can be found in productivity tools, under the same place UKIE templates are found
Isn't it already out Roy? I've downloaded it. Although it doesn't work on my computer we have had it working on another computer. I'm waiting on a new laptop and was going to test after then.
the windes link is definetly there under productivity tools under your account
and kerbs dont work properly but can be fixed by putting them on a palette from 2017
Hi Phil,
I can't say I'm having all the problems you are. Although, regarding the Point Code issue on the kerbs, I could have swapped them as soon as I got the 2017 kit and just don't remember doing it. I think we will have to accept that software that is produced for a world wide market will always have things that need tweaking for each Country. Given that Autodesk don't have a UK based Technical representative for Civil 3D, I think the Kit is generally good. I agree, it's not perfect, but they have given us everything we need to make the tools fit our needs. Most projects I work on do need custom things anyway, so at the beginning of my first 2018 project I spend time setting everything up. This usually sets things for most subsequent projects too.
Having said that, feedback is vital, and voices asking for things from Autodesk is always a good idea and I'm sure welcome.
Ian
