Training and Style Set Up Help Requested

Hello,

I work for a small firm in Charlotte, NC and we recently purchased C3D 2008. I have limited CAD experience and one other person has years of LDT experience, but is also new to C3D. We are considering our options on how to get up and running the fastest. My preference would be to bring a consultant in to help with styles set up and training.

Any suggestions/recommendations?

Thank you.

This question should be posted in the . . civil3d discussion group. This
customization group is for people that are custom writing vba and getting
into the programming of the product.

You will get more regular attention for your question(s) over there.

While it wouldn't hurt to post in both groups, actually, he's asking in the right place.

Most of those who are programming Civil3D are already fully competent at most of the things the OP needs done, with the possible exception of training.

In addition, their ability to automate the product with programming is usually a major benefit. The Civil3D programmers I routinely work with have automation that allows them to alter one or more aspects of hundreds of defined styles in a matter of seconds, which would take an end user days to do manually. That's critically important at the outset, when you are defining everything from scratch, and need to reserve the right to change something after the fact, without having to spend days doing it.

That's what programmers are for 😉
