Profile .arg to open "as autocad"

I need some help from you cad experts out there:

We just finished updating our software from C3D 2008 to 2010 and I'm getting confused by the "profiles". I've exported 2 .arg files from my machine after making all the required customizations; one for Civil 2010 and one for the "as autocad" option. I was intending to import these to our other systems, but after importing the "as autocad" .arg and pointing to the profile target in the shortcut, the program loads up straight Civil 3d. I was under the impression that the .arg files exported all your current settings from autocad, would it not take the "as autocad" option as well?

Please bear with me on this one, I understand how to customize with autolisp and some basic VBA, but I know almost nothing about the regristry values the profiles are changing. Can anybody clear this up for me?

Open your ARG file with a text editor, and look for "IsPureAcadProfile". It should have a value of 1 to start "as AutoCAD"
The entry should look like :
"IsPureAcadProfile"=dword:00000001

Should that profile already be present in your AutoCAD cession, delete the profile, then reimport your ARG.
