We could give you one, but it would be the blind leading the blind.

You have to show us the shape name used in the linetype asking for it, and what the shape should look like.

Maybe in a pdf from someone that had the shape.

Otherwise you will get what we guess the shape should look like, and you might as well just ask what our favorite color is (Blue obviously, if you want to pass).

Its normally in a linetype, so you could delete it or redefine.

What I typically do is start a new drawing from the template, look at linetype names and remove ones like "pvmt edge".

Then close the session and re-open and see if I get the shx warning.

I call it, "divide and conquer" as you can remove 1/2 at a time or so and narrow things down.

What would really be nice is a lisp to show code for all linetypes in a dwg.

for that, you will need the attached lisp.

Load it and run command GETLTYPECODES.

Look for ones with PVMT and you have your culprit(s).

Enjoy!

hmm, that template is almost a mb, yet it seems empty.

When I make a new drawing from it in 2015 (just acad, not map or civil3d), and save, the dwg is 68 kb.

I looked for blocks, linetypes, all kinds of stuff but its blank.

Is that supposed to be for civil3d? The styles should not have been purged by acad if so, and the size should be larger.

This is not a linetype issue it seems, and these shx issues get interesting fast when that is the case.

If you make a dwg from your template, and then a template from that dwg, do you still get a 1 mb file?

I don't, check out the dwt I came up with after round tripping like that.
