LDD Contours in C3D

Does anyone know if there is a way to get at the object properties of an old Aecc_Contour in Civil 3D?

In LDD I used to be able to join them with polylines etc.  All you can do with them these days is to grip/move vertices and labels and to break them and copy them and change their elevation.

Sadly, I'm going to guess you can't otherwise modify them anymore because the LDD application isn't loaded (and won't ever be).

You can always extract contours from the surface as polylines, join/edit the polylines, and then add them back to the surface as breaklines.
