Alignment Tag Editor

Why in the "EDIT" alignment dialog box does the text not show up when I turn on the text mask? The tag stills shows up fine when using it in my plan, but it disappears as shown in the attached picture.

Could you attach the drawing that you are seeing this in and I will see if I can reproduce this on my end? I will also need to know what version of the product you are using.

If I understand you correctly, the masked alignment label displays correctly in plan, but not in the style preview.

That is correct in the style editor preview when the text masking is turned on the text disappears.

This is a bug in the editor, not yours. It happen thru all Civil3D versions even in newly created drawings with the standard labels coming with Civil3D.
