Adding a CSF Variable to a Civil drawing (not with expressions)

Hi, I'd like to be able to set a CSF in a civil drawing that stays with the drawing and saves with the drawing as well as displays somewhere on the Customization tab in the lower right hand corner. shown below.

I'm not interested in using expressions in the labelling menus to tackle this because I am also writing my own bearing and dist labelling that will not be dynamic or mtext even.  The Bearing Dist routine will incorporate this drawing variable to adjust the label to be ground distance even though the points are at grid distance.  I have looked into the parameters command as well as the dwgprops custom variable settings. The easiest solution for me is to be able to pull this dwgprops variable into a lisp routine.

Not sure how the syntax would work for that. Any better or easier solution would be appreciated. Thanks
