Workspace Settings

I have recently started using Civil 3D at my new company and the settings are very different compared to my old company. I go in to the menuload command and load all of the cui files the way that I want them and then I save my workspace and set it current, but when I leave cad and come back into it my settings are not the same at all. It's like it's not saving any of the workspaces I have created. Can anyone help??

What version of Civil 3D are you using?
The menuload command has given way to the cui command, in 2006+. And it could be that your customization file location, set in the files tab of your options dialog box, could be pointing to a different cui file than the one you are creating for yourself. (which is possible, if your company has a cad manager who is managing the cad stations)

check your shortcut and make sure you don't have the /p switch. If you do its reloading that profile every time you start civil. you can also export your profile and the after the /p point to your arg file you saved, this will force it to load your profile.

right click on your desktop icon, click on properties, then the shortcut tab. you'll see the target there.
