Join us at the first-ever Forge Developers Conference (DevCon) June 15-16 in San Francisco. Be among the first to use the next generation of Autodesk cloud services. Get hands-on with the tools that will help you to create new service offerings, solutions, and integrations for a cloud-connected product-development ecosystem.
Forge is Autodesk’s “brand” for a set of web services that delivers you easy access and use of design and engineering data free from being dependent on having heavy desktop software in hand. It’s about web services that allow you to easily extract data created with a variety of Autodesk’s BIM tools – Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and much more. It’s about web service APIs that enable you to quickly create apps and services that are seamlessly connected to BIM data independent of the binary format the information is in – Revit files, Navisworks files, AutoCAD files, IFC files, Microstation files and more.
With 60+ classes, you can expect to see and learn how to use a number of Forge web service APIs directly applicable to getting more value from design, manufacturing and maintenance data including:
- BIM 360 API (including the new BIM 360 Docs)
- View & Data API (publish your BIMs on any web page available on most any device)
- AutoCAD I/O (AutoCAD on the cloud to automate drawing creation and batch processing)
- ReCap API (turn photos such as taken from drones into building and terrain models)
- Data API (extract geometry, query attribute data, count entities, create new file relationships, etc).
