Custom Assembly

Hello,

How can I create assembly like the one shown bellow. I could not find something similar in the tool palates. All the available cross sections has vertical inner side.

Use Subassembly Composer

You can also use .NET to create the subassembly. 

It would also be able possible to create a subassembly using polylines and then assign the desired codes.

You can create subassembly from polylines.

1. Create polyline of the desired shape.
2. Create assembly from a polyline.
3. Modify origin/insertion point.
4. Edit the file C3DStockSubassemblyScripts found on C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\C3D Version\enu to add new codes. Skip this part if you want to use existing codes.

5. Add codes to the point/link.
6. Add subassembly to assembly.
7. Rebuild corridor.

Use "LaneOutsideSuperLayerVaryingWidth" for the pavement and base to the edge of pavement (grey area and the brown immediately below it), then use "GenericPavementStructure" as the shoulder area (the outer portion of the brown in your sketch). Then use a "LinkMulti" for outer shoulder fill (your blue).

Right click and select help to see how to use the assemblies.

Do you have samples in .Net to create Subassembly from polyline?

This is very easy to be done in SAC.

I have never use the tool to make it from model space with polylines, but i think this subassembly will not be with parameters (widths, etc.).

My recommendation is to use SAC
