Cross Sections - How to add the hatch and dimensions.

Hi all Civil 3D users,

After creating the assembly (from SAC) and the code set ( see attach :- cross section 1 & 2 ), it was successfully.

However I am puzzled about how to put the hatch on each cross section (by automatically.....not manual)

I'm trying to hatch on a cross section view (see attach cross section 3) . I know with a profile view it's possible by going to profile view properties and going to the hatch tab....... I can't seem to find this option for cross section view properties. this means that I have to create all hatch them manually but there's about 100 sections or over (!?!?), the three Cables Duct's lengths will have about 20 miles away.

How can I put the hatch on these cross sections (by automatically from assembly and the code set) ?

Please help !

Regards

Neil

Hello Neil,

the hatch in the cross section comes from two things:

1. Subassembly

Check, if you use the right code set and check also the codes in subassembly and the used code set

2. Mass calculation

For the mass calculation between two DTM you can also define a hatch style.

In the Germany DWT are some styles defined. With DWT you use?

Can you upload your drawing?

Best Regards

Gerald

Hi

Thank you for your reply.

Just found that the hatches can have automatically from corridor/assembly/alignment to all cross sections (using a dynamic Civil 3D Table Styles), also I have added the calculate volume for cut/fill.

Here is a good example of link as below :-

Unfortunately, I don't have DWT format, and also I can't upload, due to a large file data.

Neil
