Alignment.Create Method - AlignmentType, where to set?

Hi guys,

we got into big trouble. We are trying to create RAIL alignment (just one curve) using API method and there is no possibility to set Alignment Type... So please could you advice me how to do it. We need Rail because of cant... The way using corridor is crazy...

Have you calculated Superelevations previously?

Maybe is a constraint and you cannot do that if your alignment already has Superelevations.

In Civil 3D, if you try to change the type of an alignment to "Rail" and this has Superelevations, it appears a dialog box about this.

You could remove all SuperelevationCritical Stations if they exists before changing this alignment to Rail type.

The reason is because Rail Alignments have their own Superelevations Assistant.

Joan, the AlignmentType property is Read-Only in the .NET API and it's not even available in the COM API.
