Maya rigging / skinning problem

Hello

I am a bit rusty with Maya.

So when I have generated a character I have to then use Maya to generate a rig. Right?

I thought the characters came fully rigged ready to animate.

Thanks for that.

With the eyes and facial features controls - would I have to do them separetly? Is there an easy way to do this.

Hi,

You can animate the face using the Bone Rig or using the Blend Shapes

See the attached video on how the generate your character with the different options (BlendShapeVsBoneRig.swf)

See also the attached videos for an example on how to animate using both options (BoneRig.swf and BlendShape.swf)
