Surface Wrapping Error

I am new to Autodesk CFD and am trying to surface wrap a model. However, after adjusting the external volume and resolution factor to the desired values and clicking surface wrap I receive an error. See image below.

Hello @dherna6 ,

Since we don't have your model we really cannot answer your question.

Two options:

1- we take guesses and hope for the best.

2- you post your model and we try to figure out the issue.

Hello @dherna6 ,

Since I don't have Solidworks I did the following:

1- Open your Solidworks file in Inventor

2- Save it as a step file

3- Open step file in CFD surface wrap environment

4- Set the size of the external volume

5- generate surface wrap.

I had no issue doing any of that. Attached is the step file as well as the zipped CFD support share file.

I used step format so you can open the same file on your end if you needed.

Hello Mr.

I have the same problem, I try to make your solution but it didn't work. I'm trying to import from SketchUp. Can you help me too? I tried almost everything on that but I always got the same error "surface wrapping error". Ihave 3 different models. If you have time, please answer me. I don't really have any choice but to do this in a very short time. I check my models, they are great in anyways. I don't understand what is the problem and how can I generate a wrap.

Hello,

Unfortunately, I was unable to figure it out using Autodesk. I ended up using Ansys Fluent and that worked out much better.
