Revit Plugin Crashes CFD 2019

Hi,

I have built a model in Revit 2019. When I use the Revit CFD add-in to import the geometry, it creates the design study but crashes just as it is about to give me control of the CFD software, when I try and reopen the new design study through CFD 2019 it comes up with the pop up to import the design study from CFD 2000. If you select either of the options it presents then it just says it cannot read the file.

I can export the Geometry from Revit to a SAT file and import it that way, however, it would be good to keep the object naming by using the Revit export instead.

Has anyone encountered this before and resolved it?

Thanks

Luke

Hello,

Is the Windows OS and Revit English or some other language?

Do you have any unusual characters in the part names in revit?

If so I would eliminate such characters and try exporting the model into CFD again.

Hi Marwan,

Windows OS and Revit are English.

The Revit file name is just numbers, letters and spaces, but I don't think spaces would cause this issue. I shall try without though.

Thanks
