Hello everyone,
I am trying to understand why I lose the restart results file from times to times. I use a remote desktop connection to launch the analysis on another computer.
When I run a simple basic analysis for a few iterations (lets say 200 iter for a coarse mesh), and then, I stop the solver within the Job Monitor. I wait a few seconds to have the job quitting successfully, I open my cfdst file, model is okay, convergence plot is here, and I check my setup. If everything is good, I keep running the scenario from the last iteration, like everyone do. So far, nothing exceptional, it works just fine.
But, sometimes when I want to hit the solve button with the Continue From sXXX option (my last iteration) to keep running the analysis. Nothing is there. No last iteration results. So I go to the solver folder to check the scenario status file .st, and I notice, the results file has been written but I cannot find it anywhere.
It doesn't happen all the time, it appears to be completely random, but I'm not sure. Please see the attached screenshot with on the left, the "solver" folder and on the right, the end line of the status file.
Does this ever happen to anyone here ?
When I run the same Design scenario from 0 on my local computer, the restart option is finally available, no matter how many times I hit the Solve/Stop button.
