Reinstall of CFD 2017: asking for a Revit dll...but I don't use Revit.

Because of some errors, I uninstalled CFD 2017 and was installing it again when it stopped halfway through, saying it couldn't find .dll  in CFD/Launchers/Revit...

But I don't use Revit, and don't see a folder named CFD/Launchers

Any idea about what is going on.

You might need to run the installer with a right click to run as admin.

Did it work OK last time you installed and why did you need to reinstall? 🙂

Thanks,

Jon

I tried running as Admin, but it doesn't help...I guess all installs are by
Admin.

I looked more closely at the file it wants: \Autodesk\WI\Autodesk CFD
2017\x64\CFD\Program
Files\Autodesk\CFD\Launchers\Revit\RevitLauncher_SDK2014.dll . That
folder has a 2017 version: RevitLauncher_SDK2017.dll . So why is it
asking for the 2014 .dll?

In the end, I uninstalled every Autodesk program, and deleted the folder (which still had gb's of files in it).

Now I am able to install CFD 2017.   So there was definitely a bug in the install program.
