I am trying to create a wind tunnel with a fin inside of it but I am having some problems.

First, the fin was originally  a .obj and then I converted it to .stp. I opened it up in Fusion 360 and just created a block to see if it would show up on CFD.

But I got this weird layout, and the fin isn't shown.

Any ideas why/how this is happening and how to fix it?

Thanks

Hello @Anonymous,

If I understand you correctly, you are saying you have a 2-part assembly in simstudio tools but only one part comes into CFD (fin is missing).  Am I right?

Please try exporting the model as a STEP file and opening that in CFD.

If that does not work, and as a test, make a model of just the fin and see if that comes into CFD.

Otherwise, try changing the asmcoiltol flag as described in this article.

Regards,

Marwan Azzam.

You sort of are right. I asked a person to give me a file and apparently the only one he can send is a .obj file. I don't know how to convert an .obj to .stp file from Fusion 360. It can't open .obj
