Locate surfaces quickly & points using coordinates stated in error message

Hello Community,

1. Is there a way to locate surfaces quickly, rather than hovering over a surface and then waiting for the surface  message box to appear - a list of all of the surfaces in descending order is ideal. I have used the diagnostics tool to aid in locating surface/edge issues previously.

2. In the image attached to this post there is in the error message script a set of numbers, in this case:

 1.06633 6.19952 -5.60913 (1102).

Where can I input or view the corresponding coordinates in the CFD software to help find the issue faster?

I am trying to remedy the problem using the suggestions mentioned in the error message dialog.

Thanks in advance.

Amardeep

Okay, great. Is using the selection box like that on any tutorial?

Can you answer question 2 of my post?

Sure. If you make the model Wireframe, CFD should be displaying and orange dot where the issue is.

I find this a bit hit-and-miss (unreliable) though. So another way would be to right click in the graphics window, away from the geometry and add a Monitor Point 🙂

Does that answer your question? Sorry I missed it before.

Why not using the Model Assessment Tool here?
