Hi Dan,

How did you do this in 2015? I don't think I have ever seen the option, might have missed it.

Thanks!

Jon

Dan,

I can confirm on my machine that it appears to be missing.  I have created a case and will escalate this to Development as I don't think it was intentional to remove this feature.

Todd,

I also really miss this feature. When creating documentation for customers I like to set up all of my planes, traces, etc. Then go through and save images of them all at the end when I am sure I have it set up consistantly. In 2015 this wasn't a problem because I could hide a trace set I had created take the other images I wanted, unhide the traces and continue documentation.

Thanks,

Grant,

I understand the pain, I used to use it to increase performance for rotating large models if I was trying to follow a trace.  This is an active item for development and is recognized as an issue.  I can't say when it will be fixed just that it is being worked on, so keep an eye out for Service packs.  I am going to Create a case for you and attach it to the software issue to raise its customer impact (puts a little more fire under development).  If you get emails about the case there isn't any action required by you.

Kind Regards,

Todd

All,

Just an update. I have found a quick work around to hide traces with the current set up.

If you create a set of traces and wish to hide them select the trace set in the design study bar and right click -> select edit. Then animate the traces you wish to hide -> hit pause -> hit double back arrows to rewind the animation to the 1st frame. Then close the traces window. If you wish to unhide the traces simply go back to the trace window and hit the double forward arrows to fast forward to the last frame in the animation. Screencast link below.

Hope this helps for now. I would still like the regular option to hide the trace sets I create.
