Analysis has stopped problem.

I keep getting ''Analysis has stopped because the Solver has exited Unexpectedly'' on my laptop but not on my pc with the same file and settings.

I've tried all the suggestions from the forum and Autodesk advices to no avail.

Is there a way to see what the actual error is?

Hello,

Can you run anything on the laptop?

Try the Nozzle tutorial and see if that runs.  If it does not then it might be a license issue.

If it runs, then maybe the model needs more memory than the laptop machine has.

Every time when i maximize or minimize the program, it minimizes without being able to make it pop up again. The preview on the taskbar also gets white. Tried many solutions to maximize it again but it seems that the program crashed.

It only runs again when i delete the C:\Users\AppData\Local\Autodesk\CFD 2019 folder. The problem doesnt get solved though. Now im trying to just run the app without minimizing. Seems to work but its really frustrating when my work randomly crashes.

Hello Ihsan,

The issue of CFD only appearing in the taskbar is due to a graphics issue.

You did the right thing by deleting that CFD 2019 folder.

After deleting the folder, start CFD and resize the window manually.  Do not maximize it.  Grab the corners and size it to fit the screen.  Close CFD and that will automatically save the changes to the window size.  When you open CFD again it will appear in the same size.  Again, do not maximize it.

As far as the solver error, this is probably due to the license.

Do the following:

1- Go to the website: licenseparser.com

2- Click the Browse button and point to your license file

3- Click on Submit License File

4- You should have the following two features:

- Autodesk CFD Design Study Environment 2019

- Autodesk CFD Ultimate 2019 (or Autodesk CFD Premium 2019)

The first is the user interface which you obviously have

The second is the solver which you need to have and would cause an error if it is missing.

Please let us know.

Dear Marwan,

Thank you for your answer. Is the application sizing bug not fixable? Its really frustrating to lose a project because i minimized the application by mistake.

I've tried looking for the license file but couldnt find it.

Is it the licpath.lic file in the C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\CLM\LGS\ folder? Because if it is, it is not in the folder.

Hello,

The graphics issue should not cause loss of data or model.  Please let me know if that is happening.

As I said, it is an issue and the work around is to delete the CFD 2019 folder and not maximize the CFD application window.  If you do that you should be fine.

As far as the license file, the licpath.lic file should point you to the license server machine (where be it your machine or another machine).  The license file is typically in the "C:\Autodesk\Network License manager" folder.

Dear Marwan,

The graphic issue causes the program to crash therefore i lose the model.

I just looked into the folder you pointed out but the file is not there.

When i use the LMTOOLS and search for anything it just cant find anything there too.

Is there another way to get a hold of the file?

Is the program crash something that happens consistently and repeatedly or just once on your model?

As far as the license it would be easier if we do a desktop sharing session and take a look at what you have.
