Hi - I'm using CFD 2021, version 21.0. I had started using adaptive meshing for a model, and it was working fine. Adaptive meshing seemed to be running to completion satisfactorily. I made a minor change (perhaps changed from ke solver to SSTkw, but I forget at his point what the change was.) Now, adaptive meshing doesn't work under any circumstance. I get a "solver exited unexpectedly" error.
I have 64GB of RAM and lots of disk space, I don't think those are issues.
Reinstalling CFD is a chore because engineers don't have admin rights, we need to create a ticket, yadda yadda.
Anyone have a solution for getting adaptive meshing back up and running quickly?
Thanks!
Mark
Hello Mark,
Does the model run without adaptive meshing?
When do you get the Solver Exited error? Right at the beginning or somewhere down the analysis after a number of iterations?

Thanks for the additional info.
Adaptive meshing can sometime be problematic like this. But, you have been able to run it on the same model before making changes.
Try deleting the mesh setting and starting from the default mesh size.

FYI, still working through this - not clear if this had the desired effect
I'll keep you posted and thanks again
Mark
