Buzzsaw Web Access Issue: Error " Buzzsaw could not be launched"

Issue:  Buzzsaw Web Access error - "Buzzsaw Could Not be Launched"

Autodesk engineers have been notified to this issue. Autodesk engineers will be making updates to this issue at https://health.autodesk.com  Autodesk wishes to express thanks for your patience and understanding during this time.  At the Health Dashboard you can subscribe to be automatically notified on resolution.  The Health Dashboard includes work around solutions to this matter.

As an Autodesk Buzzsaw owner or Site administrator we may eliminate problems for site members who log in using Web Access by a configuration change to the site.  If your team members are having difficulty applying the known work around solutions then as site owner/site administrator you may consider temporarily making the following site configuration change.

Go to Site Setup > Information Pages> At Initial View for the Project each session: change setting to Files View or ensure the first Site Information page a member is directed to is a Buzzsaw system Information page. You can view this screencast on where this setting resides on your site. The cause of error is due to member is being redirected to an initial view of a custom information page. The above change redirects the member to a Buzzsaw System information view or to the Folders/Files View on initial log in.

If as site owner/site administrator this change is not possible then Autodesk Support is communicating with members the following known work around(s).

1. A member may avoid error by logging into Autodesk Buzzsaw 2013 Desktop App for Windows. A member who wishes to use this access method may download and install Buzzsaw at www.getbuzzsaw.com. This may not be an option for members if they do not have software installation rights on their personal machine.

2. If member is using Web Access and is receiving error member may do the following to access Buzzsaw projects and data:

  • Log into Buzzsaw Web Access
  • Replicate Error
  • In the Browser Address Field remove the “infopage” part of the URL
