This happens fairly often, according to my customer. See the attached image. The Revit file was uploaded to a BIM 360 Team project 7 hours ago. When attempting to download it, we get a "Page not found" error. When attempting to view it, we get the icon that indicates it's not ready for viewing followed by a big grey nothing. This was uploaded - it is not a C4R project.
Any ideas? All parties are using Google Chrome as the browser.
Thanks
Hello @MattDillon247,
I am sorry to hear the customer is having issues with uploading and accessing their Revit project data. I am not sure what may be causing this issue at the moment, but I am curious if the customer managed to notice the progress of the upload. Assuming the user was viewing Team in the thumbnail view, they would have seen the upload progress and if the file was saved to Team as shown below.
During the upload process, BIM 360 Team should have displayed the number of discovered views and the progress of their translation for the viewer, can the customer advise if this information was displayed at the time they were uploading?
Regards,
mespaillat
Hello @MattDillon247,
I forgot to ask if the customer has attempted to open the affected model(s) in Revit? Are there any warnings or errors displayed when the model is loaded?
If so, it may help or correct the upload issue if the errors and warnings in Revit are resolved prior to uploading the models into BIM 360 Team.
Regards,
mespaillat.
Update to this issue. After obtaining the customer's files, I found that one of them was corrupt in some way. I was able to get it to successfully upload after upgrading it from Revit 2015 to Revit 2016 and using AUDIT, followed by compacting the file.
But to answer your question - there were no error messages during the initial attempts to upload.
