BIM 360 Team doesn't work with bigger projects than 5mb. At least not with me.

So 99.999% of the time it doesn't work for me.

Hi @Anonymous

Thank you for posting to the BIM 360 Team forum.  I understand you are having trouble with uploading files that are greater than 5MB.

  • What file type are you trying to upload to BIM 360 Team?
  • Do you receive any error messages during or after the upload?
  • Are you able to provide any screenshots of what you are seeing?

I would be more than happy to help you with this matter.  Let us know if you have any questions or comments.

Best,

Hi there,

At first i appreciate you're very fast reply!!
The thing is that i have normal NWD files. I combine smaller NWD files (with status) into one big assembled 3D Navisworks 2016 file.
Also with status and date. No IFC files only native formats.
At first i thought it was due to our system and network speed or configuration but i don't think that's the problem because i get an error message after uploading saying "we encountered some issues when preparing file for viewing."

I hope this helps.

Hi @Anonymous

Thank you for providing that additional information.

Would it be possible to share the models with us at technical support in a private message, so that we can try and reproduce the behavior on our end?

You can send me a Private Message directly and I will take a look at the models.  See this video on Sending Private message on Forum

Let us know if you have any questions.

Best regards,

Patrick B.

I would but the project is going to the market soon. I prefer to keep it for a few months.
I going to set up a new model and try to figure out myself what went wrong. If this doesn't work i like to send this model to you if the offer still stands.
Thanks, Ruud

Hi @Anonymous

I'm following up with regards to your last post.  I understand you would rather not post the model.

  • Are you able to upload one or even all of the "smaller" NWD files separately with success?  What's the result?
  • Also, please provide the information it states when you click on the "Details" drop-down beneath where it says "We have encountered some issues when preparing file for viewing"

Let us know if you have any additional questions.

Best regards,

Hi There,

I'm assembling the big 3D integrated model step by step. Merging the smaller (per discipline) models into one and try to find out which one gives the problem.
If one perticular model gives the problem i am going to send this one to you.

Thanks fort he reply.

Hi @Anonymous

I just wanted to reach out to see how you made out with the updated model you created.  Were you able to get that uploaded to BIM 360 Team successfully?  If not, were you able to identify the model causing the problem?

If you uploaded the model successfully after re-creating it, please feel free to choose Accept as Solution on your post that way other members can find the solution easily.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Hi @Anonymous,

I wanted to reach out to see how you made out with re-creating your model.  As I had not heard back I'll assume that assembling the 3D model into smaller segments allowed you to identify the model that was causing this issue.

I'm going to mark your last post as the solution, but please reply back if this did not work and I would be more than happy to continue helping to a resolution.

Let us know if you have any additional questions or comments.

Best regards,
