How to slow down First Person walk speed.

I keep rolling back the zoom but does not seem to be slowing my advance or movement speed. Press the w key and zoom way to fast. Is there a setting that I am missing.

Hi Nolan,

What is the file format here and what browser are you using? if you try other files and a different browser (chrome) do you see the same results when trying to zoom, or is it specific to one file?

share the public downloadable link if possible.

Thanks,

Figured it out. The - and + keys reduce or increase the sensitivity of the movement keys.

Thank you,

Hi Nolan,

Now that is interesting, i didn't realize that at all.

I know that the WASD QE keys control Right Left Forward Backward and Up Down, and then the SHIFT key increases the speed of whichever key you've selected, however, I didn't realize how the + - keys impact the speed/sensativity.

How does that work exactly? Do you hold the SHIFT key and the + or - key along with one of the letters, or some other combination? I'm not able to see how this works yet.

Please let me know,

Thanks,

Actually what I have discovered is that while moving and pressing the - (minus) the walk speed slows down. I have been having issues with the speed up so do not slow to far down. Not sure if * or the + key speed it back up. But the - key has saved my life. I tried this because I have seen functionality before.

Luck on you trial and error if you verify the speed up key please let me know. I do not have a lot of time to play.

Thanks,

Nolan Carl

Sorry to resurrect this post - I assume you have already found the solution by now. However I found this forum post while trying to resolve the same issue, and I just found the answer, so I thought I'd post it for future visitors to this page. I'm in Revit 2020, and you can use the open angle and close angle brackets (left and right arrow brackets) to control the speed: < >.
