Apologies for the seemingly obvious question - hopefully there is an easy answer!
I am using R2020 with BIM360 and I'd like to know if it's possible to open two BIM360 models in the same Revit session, to copy elements from one model to another.
I was told by my company's Autodesk vendor that the only way to open a BIM360 model is through the column on the left hand side of the Revit Start Page. My understanding is that if I navigate (File > Open) to the BIM360 "drive" that shows up after installing Desktop Connector, I will not be getting the latest model and may even mess with the cloud model in an undesirable way.
Can someone shed some light on this? Thanks in advance

Just tested this on 2 workshared models and i was able to copy and paste what i needed. I opened the first model via the home screen, then Ctrl + D and opened a second model again via the home screen and then just copied and pasted. Assume this will also work for just cloud models.

Thank you, this worked well! I did not know about the Ctrl + D shortcut.
Cheers,

The Control + D shortcut is very useful thank you, but is there anyway to do something similar when trying to insert 2D views or 2D elements from another BIM360 revit model? When I navigate to the BIM360 project after clicking on insert, the upgraded version (2021) is not visible, only the previous version (2019) which has already been upgraded.
Why do we have to use this Control + D option, why are the upgraded versions not visible by default? This last one is a question more for Autodesk to help me understand the intention of this function.
