Issues using BIM360 on AWS Virtual Machine

Hi All,

Recently we started using virtual workstations (Server2016 based) on Amazon (AWS). We will use these machines to be able to collaborate over multiple offices or countries and share data on an Amazon Network storage. These machines are Windows Server based (2016/2019) and they have a variety of CPUs and GPUs to pick a machine that will match our existing CAD Laptops performance wise.

So far so good, but here is the thing... We are using Autodesk software like Revit and Plant3D including BIM360. On our laptops, everything is working as supposed (with its known shortcomings), but on the VM we experience issues with creating and checking in of files. It looks like sync issues (or latency) and some rights restrictions. Found some topics that VM is not supported for Desktop connector. Wonder how Citrix users have made it working, system is quite similar in the background. We now have Server2016 machines, but also Server 2019 is applicable, Windows 10 is not allowed to virtualize due to license restrictions.

See attached screenshots for errors I run in to.

Please share with me if you have created a working system, we are at a standstill right now and not able to take these machines in production if we are not able to use BIM360. Thank you in advance!

Kind regards,

Nick
