Hi!
Is it possible to NOT to share part of a model when creating a package?
I know I can create sets with views that contain only part of the model, but it seems like I'm still sharing the entire model pluss the views I create.
Sometimes our models contain elements that we don't want to show up when other teams link in our model. I could tell them to set the visibility of the link to a certain view, but it would be simpler if I can just choose to not share the entire model.

@Anonymous I'm not an expert for Revit, but you can have more than just one model and link them together. In Design Collaboration you can then choose which of the model you want to share with other teams.
Not sure if this is a feasible solution for your problem?

Hi @Anonymous,
I'm just checking in to see if you need more help with this. Did the suggestion that @martyn.messerli provided work for you?

I do not think it is possible, but it is a valid idea to discuss about the accountability of the data we share. Portions of my model might be ready to be released, but others no and we do not want to share something incomplete or partially correct. This could cause other issues, but... Can you create a separate model where you work with new model elements (not ready to share) and then bind it to the main model when ready?
Difficult task due to the Revit database and relationships between elements.
Good luck,
Xavier
More models are not a solution for us. We're working on a large project and already have 6 models just for our discipline.
I found it confusing what BIM 360 chooses as the default 3D view, but I found this from @Anonymous. Haven't tested it yet but if I can control what is the default view I can just control visibility of elements in this view. I think this will work.
That tutorial will help you set what is the default view to show in the web browser (BIM 360 viewer). I do not think it will control visibility/graphics of the link in the view. 'By linked view' is the best solution still.
