Document Log tool has been added to BIM 360 Document Management.

It creates a Document Log Spreadsheet of files withing a folder.

+ (plus)

It works for both "Plans" and "Project Files" sections

It logs files in the folder you select.

It logs attributes of any type of file format that is on BIM 360.

The files are hyperlinked to BIM 360 in the Spreadsheet.

It shows the Folder path to the file.

 It would be great that the log contained files in subfolders, it doesn't  do that at the moment.

The log spreadsheet does not contain number of Markups, Issues, RFIs nor any Custom Attribute Field.

@joan_allen  Great job on the recent update of the Document Log, it's a great tool.

For now, this supports a single folder (any folder type) at a time, and the standard metadata only.  We plan to add custom metadata (attributes) and subfolders in a future update.

When exporting a document log will attributes be exported too?. 

I have an issue where document log had excluded attributes i had processed through the title block extractor.

We are working on adding custom attributes to the Document Log.  This is work-in-progress, and we'll let you know when it is available.

@joan_allen  similar to @ghezzi.mar I would of thought that the Workflow review status would be included in the custom meta attribute update in the document log? Is this on the roadmap for inclusion in the document log.

We would find this very useful as a quick way to print out log to identify the status of documents for discussion in meetings.

Really need to show the status of the Documents in the logs. The option to list the sub-folders documents is highly appreciated too.

Hi Joan,

Does it make sense the request of exporting the metadata of the documents and files on the "Document Management" which is by default from its name takes more than 18 months?

Its a basic of the document management to export all the related metadata to help projects parties to see the full picture and make the correct decision.
