One of our Revit files coming from C4R is showing a broken file icon after a publish. WE cannot select or open the model from docs. In Design collaboration we can open the set, but its out of date. We have republished the model a couple times and gotten the green bar in the manage cloud models dialog, but newer model does not appear in docs or collaboration and the version does not update.
Model opens and syncs correctly in Revit but the published version is out of date and will not update. How do we correct? If I delete from Docs will that affect the C4R model?

Hello chubbard,
Thank you for contacting Autodesk.
When navigating into the folder path within BIM 360 Document Management, are you able to open the viewables for the document, despite the broken file icon?
Are there any error messages that appear within the Publish Logs of Document Management regarding this document? If so, can you provide this error message to me? Please feel free to direct message me if you prefer.
Was the model ever successfully initiated from Revit into Document Management? If so, was the model ever re-versioned successfully?
Does the Revit model being uploaded contain any linked models?
Regards,
Don

Support was able to get this model republished which removed the broken file.
The model was successfully published once and the broken version was a re-publish from Revit. There are no errors, warnings etc.
This model though takes 25 minutes to publish even though its only 8mb. I an still waiting to hear back why this particular model and site are so slow in publishing to B360. Also why there are no warnings errors or any message to assist uses with errors.
Hello chubbard,
It sounds like the original problem has been resolved. That's great news.
It depends on the nature of the issue as to where the most useful errors and details might appear to ultimately correct the underlying problem. There is typically some indication that there is a problem with the model within the Publish Logs area of Document Management, as mentioned. These can be some relatively generic messages. I am certainly not a Revit expert, but my understanding is that the Revit journal files often contain very useful information in regards to specific finding and helping to resolve issues within models.
In regards to taking 25 minutes to publish an 8mb model, this might be due to other factors such as the number of views in the model and the data within the model itself. It sounds like you have an open case already to look into that behavior.

Don
There was an error when the broken file was originally published but it doesn't tell my anything only that it failed to extract. Not very helpful
All the logs after that just say published and list the time and date the file was published, not the half hour later that it was actually available. So again we really need some feedback from B360 on what the errors might be and how to correct. I tried re-publishing this file numerous times before calling support. None of those published are listed in the log. In the end we had to delete all the publish packages and just publish a default 3D view before adding back the correct package of sheets and views. BUT had this been an ongoing project we would have lost all our issues and markups so I don't consider this a realistic solution, we were just lucky it was the first major published set.
Hi
I have the same problem with my uploaded model showing a broken Page Icon?
I audited and even re uploaded with a new number and its doing the same thing?
Do you have to come on and fix this or is there a better solution?
Regards
Mark
Hello,
i've just had this exact issue but isn't resolved after republishing
any other ideas?
have audited the model and republished it.
Hello,
We're having similar issues with our model.
Has anyone been able to resolve this.
We've tried auditing and republishing the model but the problem still remains.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks.
Hi @arossBZ5AT the only time I have seen republishing not fixing this broken icon error is when there is a view created in the model and included in the publish set that has a long name or an unrecognizable character in the name. Could you please check that?
Also, I am sure you have already checked that there is at least one 3D view in the publish set, right?
For those that may not have solved this issue,.
I had the same problem and could not access within B360
I opened the revit file,. and in Collaborate>Publish Settings,
then unchecked all sets and added only one without any long sheet names. Once done saved and closed that dialogue, and then opened "Manage Cloud Models" and actually published from there,
Not certain if this will resolve your issue, but it seems to have resolved mine
Regards
Hello!
I am also encountering this issue. I've tried all of the resolutions that both Autodesk and everyone in this thread have shared.
Just to be clear, the "Manage cloud models" is within revit under the collab tab,.
Hope you are able to solve
Hello everyone!
The solution to this problem is first and foremost the understanding of the problem - you can understand which sheet/view causes the problem using https://bim-search.com/ ,After you register, you will be able to open the broken file and get all the sheets and views except for the sheets that cause the problem, in addition to that if you enter each sheet and perform the operation "Reset Crop" and then perform the same publish, the problem will almost certainly be resolved.
This is the solution that worked for me.
My file had no errors and audits were not doing anything either. I went back and truncated some of the longer sheet names. I'm guesstimating a 45-50 char limit on the sheet names. Not sure if the sheet number length is also a factor in the total limit though.
