BIM360 NG - Adding a signature panel to an existing checklist

Though the request to add a signature panel in from the following post the post BIM 360 Field - Checklists - Add item - response type: Signature has been added in BIM360 NewGen, it is not possible to add a signature field "response" when editing an existing checklist (see below).

At the moment signatures are only part of the checklist in its entirety. In the future, we will be adding the ability to add a signature as a response item.

Another interesting feature with the signature as a response could be the ability to send a push notification to a non-BIM360 member (say a construction worker) allowing them to sign for their work.

Example: A welder must fill out a Hot Works permit before any welding is performed. The person issuing the permit (Superintendent or Health and Safety officer) could push a checklist to the Welder and have him sign before commencing.

Thanks for this feedback. We plan to have permissions around signatures and once this is linked to an actual member then we can add more notifications around it.

Dear Shirin,

What is the status of the Signature authorization in a Checklist.

Currently anyone can sign the checklist and for commissioning purposes we and our customers want a fool prove solution where for instance an engineer, commissioning agent and the customer need to sign separately so there is audit-able chain of approvals.

Last year it would already by designed but I can not find it in the current newgen version  of field management.

Is there any update to the signature function. The current setup of only allowing signatures at the end of the checklist is not very practical, and is a backwards step from previous version of BIM 360 field
