BIM 360 docs - EU vs. US servers

Hi Autodesk. 

I am currently working on implementing BIM 360 Next gen on 2 major projects. until now the whole idea about the BIM 360 next gen is amazing, but it feels like im starting to bang my head against the wall several times after several updates have been pushed onto the docs when working on the EU servers. 

We dont have the possibility to move our data to US servers do to data law in our country because this is goverment projects, therefore i need to be working with my projects on the EU servers. Apperently this is not without alot of frustration. 

1. In a document management system i need to be able to search or filter for documents, this is not possible on EU server. 

2. After moving the RFI to project management module, i cant access this functionality on the EU servers, because this module cant be activated on EU servers. This is a very big issue, because it forces the project to go back to the old way of managing this process. 

3. We dont have any acces to the preview part of 360 next gen, witch makes it very difficult to convince projects to use the platform, because i dont have any chance of showing them how it will work. 

It seems very weird for me that there is this big gap between the EU and the US servers. 

Another big issue is that we dont get any dates on when to expect these releases on the EU servers. 

I really want to push my project to use the BIM 360 next gen platform, but i really need some help from you to support with these issues.

Hi,

You're correct that there are currently some differences between the EU and the US environment for BIM 360. We're aware this is not ideal and needs to be resolved quickly. We're planning on addressing these gaps within the next few months so please stay tuned.

Docs is available on the EU servers today, with the exception of the search feature, which is coming soon to the EU server.  As Ilai mentioned above, other next-gen capabilities are planned for the EU server.

I know that he EU server are available. But our problem is that we have a hub in the American Server, and we need to move to the EU server. Is this possible? Where can we ask for this change?

It would be nice to get an understanding on how Autodesk defines "Soon" 

2 Months and still no search feature in what i supposed to be an document management system. Its not good enough and you are and will loose customers on this matter. 

We thought we bought into a solution that would be the "next generation", but right now we are working on a system that is not even working.

I apologize this is taking longer than you expected, the good news I can share with you is that we're at final stages of deployment. Our plans is to have it live within the next few weeks.

Hi, Is the EU server now up to scratch with the US server? 

Is their a website that gives status on this at all if not, as in what is established and what is not compared to the US server? 

If  a customer chooses to use the US server can they then switch?

Docs in both the EU and US hosting environments now have complete parity (including search).
