BIM 360 Docs - classic - No slider for compare??

Has the slider compare option been removed?  It seems like I only have the change list option available now?  Capture.JPG

Please advise.  Thank you.

Regards Peter.

No comments?  Was the slider comparison removed from BIM 360 docs?  Still  have not found how to show this type of comparison.  Any suggestions appreciated.

Regards Peter.

Hi Peter,

By slide compare, do you mean side by side mode?

If so, you can toggle this mode by clicking on the arrow below:

No - I mean "Slider" under the left side document bar, that also does not show up.  Here is a screen grab from a Youtube video. It seems it's a completely different comparison now for some reason?  I want to use the different colours as shown in the drop icon under documents and the slider option as shown below.  Thanks.

Hi @Pshupe,

The compare experience in Docs has been changed.

We now offer a smart comparison for Revit files, which shows objects that have been modified/added/removed, as opposed to the visual comparison tool we had provided before.

We'll consider adding a slider mode in addition to the overlay / side-by-side comparison.

Best Regards,

Alex

Thanks - that seems to be the issue.  Is that the way it always has been?  I realize the interface has changed slightly but that is fine.  It would be nice if you could use the slider with overlay and different colours on REVIT models.  Even if it was just sheets.

I do not think the side by side windows are useful at all but I may be just comparing it to the overlay slider version.  It's hard to stay on top of all the changes but that is nothing new with BIM 360.  I work for a reseller and train mainly REVIT and BIM360 and it is very frustrating when things change on a day to day basis.  Thanks again for the help.

Regards Peter.

Frankly I think the "smart" compare should've just been added.  It's super confusing when not only things are added but also changed.  I would like to see the compare overlay slider available for at least the sheets extracted from the Revit model.  If you give this functionality to only files in the Project Files folder I'm going to get requests to print all the sheets and views to pdf, which will not only take so much more time but effectively cancel out the benefit / need for the Plans folder.  **BIG MISTAKE**.

Regards Peter.
