Pretty simple but finding the answer seems elusive. I just want to see the sync history of a project file to know who's recently saved to central. This is really simple on Revit Server but I can't seem to find where to do it in BIM 360 Design. And specifically this is for the live project file, not a published version available to all.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for posting here. I am not an Revit expert, but according to my understanding the history should be accessible as described here. However for me the button is grayed out in Revit. So others with more expertise should chime in here please.
Best, Markus

Tom,
This one is pretty straightforward. The SWC history for a Cloud Workshared Model is accessible in the Manage Cloud Models dialog within Revit.

When you select the "View Versions" option from the list it will look something like this...

Thanks all for the guidance. 1) this should be much easier to find and 2) I shouldn't have to go through Revit to see it. Autodesk Help didn't know where it was and folks I know that are familiar with BIM360 took a bit to find it. What I want is more like this:
EDIT: To be clear what is different: I can limit to a specific range of dates, see model size and the progression of that, I can navigate between multiple files/projects quickly and I don't need revit open for this. I do appreciate that I can search in the BIM360 interface and possibly promote a model, just disappointed that I can't go to a web page and navigate all projects.

can you please share how to do this?

@Anonymous what program is that screenshot? We have similar issues at my firm where not all project leads have/use Revit but can certainly use this information.

I would also be keen to know which app @Anonymous is using to access the sync history.
Looks very useful.

I believe that's a screen shot from Revit Server.

Yes, be allowed to access the "Manage Cloud Model" information from outside of Revit is crucial !
If someone know where the info lies we could also access it through an Excel query.
That's how I do it actually.... but I first have to open Revit, open one of the BIM360 project file, then open the "Manage Cloud Model" dialog, open the version history, load down the table until the first version (we have 1800+ versions), copy all, paste into a Notepad text file, shake and repeat for every single model (!!!).... Then refresh the query in Excel to present the data in a PivotTable.
Being able to access the info directly (through JSON, HTML, TXT, or whatever else) directly in Excel would ease a lot the model monitoring/audit.
Being able to read the size would also be really useful

This is not solved. This only shows recently published versions of the model, not recently synced.

I know I'm probably shouting into the ether, but why is this information not available from the BIM 360 Project's Document Management page? There's a Publish Log icon there, why not Show History???

Had another similar Help Desk ticket about this today.
The old Workshare Monitor had a feature where you could see how long each SWC took.
That's very handy information to know.
I have one person with long SWCs & I need to be able to compare that to everyone else for troubleshooting.
Is it just this person, or is it the model?

Updated to show updated screen captures for those using BIM 360. Open a new session of Revit. Go to your 'collaborate' tab. select 'Manage Cloud Models' click on the model you want to extract information from then click on the version history flag to get the information.

Sorry, but if you read previous answers you'll see that we know that.
That way it takes ages because we have to check the history 1 model per 1 model and it shows only 100ish synched versions and take a half minute to show the 100 next, and again, and again.... and at the end takes 2 minutes more to go back to the list of models to go to the next model.
So with classical 6 month project where we are between 4000 & 6000 versions and managing around 40models (one per building/zone and one per trade) you can imagine how uneffective it can be for a BIM manager/Coordinator !
Plus the fact that as we said we don't have any performance statistics.... What we just want is a direct access to a web address whic can be read as a database and we can play with to create our Project dashboards. Period. 😉

Seeing this topic is still active I thought I'd share my recent problem. Ahead of our company wide move to 2023, I loaded it on my local machine and created a new 2023 template project in the cloud. After converting the company template and collaborating in the cloud, I noticed The "manage cloud model" icon was missing. I also tried to find it in the keyboard shortcuts and the entire process is missing. Maybe its a bad install as I noted from another forum discussion but I was also hoping Autodesk moved this process to a stand alone program that our non-revit managers can use as we tend to ask techs to add notes during every sync or at least the last sync of the day.

The functionality has been moved to the Home page Autodesk Docs. See clip
The version history will give you what you are looking for I believe. If you put a comment on the sync it will appear here. That is why I encourage users to add a comment on sync.

I was also having the same issues so thank you all for the answers.
