We have been asking since 2018 please implement

I have submitted this idea a few years ago. I called last year to see if it had been implemented. I was told multiple people need to submit for them to add feature. I searched the forums today and it looks like multiple people have been asking for this since 2018. One with 180 votes.

My boss made a change where every employee needs to be added to every project. There needs to be an easier way to add contacts to projects. As it stands I have to add 48 employees to every job 1 by 1.  Then add them 1 by 1 to the plan permissions and then add again 1 by 1 into the synced documents. We got 3 jobs last week. This is so inefficient. Please see below suggestions and for goodness sakes implement what your clients want and need. It is so time consuming. Time = $ Autodesk should be the one to spend the time and money making it easier for all your clients, not your programmers.

1. If people are added to the template project, it should copy over those settings.

2. Create a spreadsheet that can be uploaded to the projects.

3. Make it so we can add a whole company to a project by using company name and not individuals.

4. When creating a member you set there permissions and then could select add to all projects or just select a few.

5. When adding members to project you can type something like @acme since all of our emails have that. Then the drop down has check marks next to people and you can select each one and say add to project.

Please Please Please get this moving. We beg you.

That sounds like a good one for the IDEAS forum or Product Feedback. Not the support forum.

The people on the forums is a small fraction compared to all the clients you have. The one request had 180 likes. Would each of those 180 have to make the same request for it to be implemented? I don't log in and read suggestions of others so I can request it too. Noone has time for that. The slight change of allowing the users assigned to the template to transfer into every new project copied from that template is not an absurd request. Ask your clients. It would be nice if Autodesk created a list annually of add-ons or changes and ask the clients which ones they would want implemented.

A request for new features does not guarantee implementation no matter how many people request it. Autodesk does not look here in the support forums for new feature requests. They look at the IDEAS forum. They even tell us which ones were implemented due to requests in the IDEAS forum. You can also tell Autodesk about your opinions through product feedback. I wouldn't put a lot of weight on them though. There are a lot of opinions out there. Actual case studies might help.

You may know this already but if you use the 'Legacy add members' you can assign the company, roles and products once and it will apply to all in the list.

It's not exactly what you are looking for, but it saves time.

I and MANY others agree with you that this needs to be improved, but User Forums are just that. The Idea Forums may not move the needle much but they are reviewed by Autodesk Staff and you do see those Ideas implemented, just not all of them and not as quickly as we want.

Thank you for getting back to me. I didn't realize I was on the support page. I have tried your suggestion below but maybe I was doing it wrong. All of our employees are assigned a role with our company name. When I have a project and I go to add members 1 by 1. It says enter name or email. Can you send me directions on how to use please?
