Upload Selected Revit Shees in Plans folder

Just wanted to check if it was possible to be selective about which Sheet views in a Revit model are 'published' into the Docs folder upon upload?

Collaboration for Revit for instance has the ability to control which Sheets are published, and am looking for a Docs equivalent.

Hi Chad,

At this time, there is no option in the Docs UI to support selecting specific sheets to publish from your Revit model to Docs.  I'd like to refer you to a very interesting approach from my Autodesk colleague Ives Veelaert, in which he details how to publish specific Revit sheets to Docs using Dynamo.

http://autodesk.typepad.com/bimtoolbox/2016/07/sheet-publishing-on-bim-360-docs.html

Beyond that approach, the Docs roadmap includes deeper integration with Revit, and the ability to select specific sheets to publish is planned.

Thanks,

That's an excellent tip in the short term.

Hi Chad,

Update on existing capabilities with Revit and selecting specific sheets / views to publish to Docs (thanks to my colleague Kyle Bernhardt for the tip; and while the knowledge article below says "A360" this also applies to saving the file and uploading to BIM 360 Docs):

If the customer is running Revit 2017, they can use Publish Settings to curate the Views & Sheets that show up in Docs (https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2015/EN...).

If they are running 2015 or 2016 they can download the latest C4R addon ()http://www.autodesk.com/collaboration4revit-download to access the Publish Settings workflow. They don't actually need to be C4R subscribers to use it.

Best Regards,

In addition to the solution Ives is explaining in his blog. It also helped me to be selective in what to publish in the Project Folder. this way you can be selective about view and sheet sharing.

You can also add a 3D view [Docs] for example to you're set so you have a 3D view of you're Plans section to review en making 3D markup possible.
