Show where element come from - Links

Hi there,

I hope you are well.

When we have a federate model in a complex project we may end up with hundred of model.

Is it anyway in BIM360 when you select an element to know where this element come from? As far as I can see, it does not appear in properties either in the tree.

Hi,

Thanks for your question.

I am not sure which file type you are working with and where you are saving the files, but I performed a quick test with DWG Xrefs.

I placed a parent DWG and its XREF in the Project Folders. When I selected an XREF object, it showed me the file name in Saved Path (Properties panel):

Is this your case?

Does it work the same way for you?

No reference to of where this element come from.
