Is there a way to filter the RFI and Submittals visibility by Companies/Roles?

@laura_agudelonorena,

Thanks so much for participating in the community! To answer your question you cannot just filter by company. You can however type in the company in the "Assigned to" filter and it will show you all members from that company that you can then select. For a little more information regarding this see this article. This also pertains to submittals.

I found a similar idea on the Ideas board. I would suggest voting on this idea or creating your own. This will help the Project Manager and developers hear your voice on any changes/concerns with functionality and efficiency directly for consideration in future builds.

Thank you!

Hi Alexa,

I refer to a visibility issue more than a filter one, I don't want everyone to see all RFIs.

Is there a way this can be set so only people involved (creator, manager and reviewers) are the only ones to see them?

@laura_agudelonorena,

1. By default, users won't see all RFIs, but only RFIs assigned to them or their company.

2. Managers and reviewers can see all (set in the workflow)

3. However once an RFI is closed, everyone can view it.

I again would suggest creating an Idea for this. I couldn't seem to find one which is interesting because I believe more flexibility in RFI and Submittal workflow and submittal is definitely in high demand and would be great for all our customers.

Thanks,

Hi Alexa,

Does the item 1 apply only to the US server?

People involved in my project can see all open RFIs, even if they're not involved in the workflow. We're using the EU server.

It seems that once a "Creator" (i.e. contractor) sends the RFI to a "Manager" (i.e. architect) and the manager sends it to a "Reviewer" (i.e. a sub-consultant to the architect) that the Creator can no longer view the RFI on the RFI tab of the Project Management screen?  I just got out of a meeting hosted by the contractor (creator) and they opened BIM to review the RFI's and their list was incomplete.  It seemed to be, although I'm not certain, that the missing RFI's were those under review by the Reviewers.  How come the Creator can not see ALL RFI's - regardless of stage in workflow?  They are starting to re-issue RFI's because they cant see a comprehensive list of what's out there.  Something similar might also be happening for submittals but I would need to confirm.  Please advise.  Thanks.
