Reduce file size in cloud model

Hi guys

I had a 350 MB Revit model in BIM 360, which is too much when compared to similar projects. I managed to reduce it's size to about 35 MB by purging user-created families in it (a common issue at my office).

But after SWC and Publish, the model size in BIM 360 went up to 512 MB!. Why is this happening? I presume it's because all previous information keeps stored anyway?

Is there a way I can effectively reduce a model size of the Cloud model? So far, I'm creating new models, detached models and starting collaboration all over again.

Thanks...

Is the size of the file causing you any difficulties?  Do you happen to have a large number of unused groups in your file?

Yes, the main difficulty is when users open the project. We have several RVT links -also in cloud- and those are the big ones.

Now I don't have unused groups or anything. The files have been cleaned, if I save locally their size is reduced, but it remains big in BIM 360. That's the issue.

Besides purging unused elements, I do not know of any other way to reduce file size in BIM 360.

Do you happen to have a large number of AutoCAD files either Imported or Linked into this file?
