LINKING CLOUD REVIT FILES FROM BIM 360 DOCS MGMT TO LOCAL FILE 2021

Project on BIM 360 docs has the design teams revit models, and contractors workshared revit models. Large fast pace 7 story hospital in construction.  Model clash detection/coordination live linking taking place, publishing daily, all contractor models uploaded Fridays.  Everyone also uploads nwc's by floor to BIM 360 Glue very often.  Our plumbing clash detection/model coordination has to be outsourced due to time.

How can I link in the design models and link the contractor models from BIM 360 DOCS in my Revit MEP Fabrication Model so I can see the UpToDate changes the clash modelers and making?   Trying to avoid having my company fab model on in the cloud.   I don’t want to download and link every contractor models everyday just for my fab. model which is key for Trimble points, sleeves, prefab pipe spools, and install drawings.   Model is for myself and coworker, only I have License for revit cloud worksharing and BIM360 collaboration pro. with invite to BIM 360 doc project.  We’re contractors using RevitMEP 2021 with Trimble SysQue.

Why?

Everything is set-up for doing just this the way you want. Why overcomplicate it? You could probably make up the cost of another license with the time saved.

The only way for you to access models that are up in BIM360 are as you stated. There is currently no way other than what you outlined to do so. The models present in Autodesk Docs are the published models not the workshared models. You can download and work off line. But as stated this is a lot of work. A few contractors we work with insist on this. Because they only want to operate with one license. Honestly though I am moving our company away from allowing consultants to do this. It is disruptive to the process. If you replace the model in the workshared environment it gets a new GUID. This forces a "Reload From". This can cause deletion of dims and orphaning or deletion of hosted elements. So as it is right now you cannot do as you want.
