Downloading Source File

When downloading source file from other team members it doesn't appear that the version of the file that we get is the most current.  Is there a need for those team members to publish or post their file somewhere else for download if we are looking to get a static version of their latest file?  Can't quite understand what we are getting when using the "Download Source file".

It could be that the Revit users are only syncing back to the project instead of publishing. When you sync the changes don't version out on the BIM 360 web project - the changes are only visible on the Revit users' side. When you publish, the model versions on the web, this allows non-Revit using stakeholders to see major model changes - not every single element change that the sync would document. 

Please let me know if that helps - I would try publishing back to BIM 360 and confirm that the model changes form the previous syncs now show up from the file when downloaded from the web.

Thanks Scott, I had expected that was the case I think maybe had seen someone indicate that in this forum.  It was a point of confusion in our project team with the mindset that each of the models would be available at any time for download by virtue of being hosted in the cloud.  It's not real clear or not really documented very well that a publish would be required in order to get the latest file.

I am trying to find the most efficient way to share our model with consultants that are not on BIM 360.  We have 2 users from our company internally working on a BIM 360 cloud model, but when we download the source file, it appears to be the original file we uploaded.  Do we have to publish a new one each time we want to share?  Is it possible to just download the current file to share separately outside of BIM 360 without the time it takes to republish?
